It's been a long time since I've posted - over a year actually, so I apologise for that! Most bloggers start out with the best of intentions to keep adding new posts regularly. I hold my hands up and admit I did just that. Then life got in the way. The winged liner affair

I'm still trying to accomplish a decent wing on my eyes but it's just not happening for me! I've worked out that I have hooded eyes. If you don't know what I mean by hooded eyes let me explain. Basically it's when the top half of your eyelid folds over part of the bottom half of your eyelid. This often continues right where your eyeliner would wing out. Now anyone who has hooded eyes will understand this next bit. I pulled the skin at the side of my eyelid taught and drew what looked like a perfect line. Then I let go! The big idea

This time last year I decided that I wanted to quit my job as a science teacher and follow my dream of owning my own business. Don't get me wrong, teaching never has a dull moment and there are rewarding times to be had but it just didn't light my fire anymore.  So why makeup brushes? Well, I have always loved sitting down to put my makeup on every day (or kneeling on the floor in front of the mirror on my windowsill in my case).
