The Phuza Story -

I first discovered rooibos during a trip to South Africa back in 2005 and was instantly hooked by its flavour, health benefits and loved that I could drink it just before bed as it is caffeine free.  I soon realised that the quality of rooibos in South Africa is much superior to any rooibos I have ever tasted in the UK. I always looked forward to a decent cup of this delicious, antioxidant packed hot beverage on each trip to South Africa and soon decided that this superior blend had to be shared. 

So, in 2019, just before covid locked the world down, I was lucky enough to visit a few of the rooibos farms in the beautiful Cedarberg region of South Africa's Western Cape. The choice of rooibos for Phuza was decided after speaking with employees directly, to disover more about them and the companies they worked for. It was of utmost importance that we worked with producers who were Fairtrade accredited and committed to social and environmental good. A couple of rooibos farms stood out and a decision was soon made for Phuza's unique blend.

Fun Fact: Phuza is a Zulu word meaning "to sip or drink"!
